On October 20, 2021, the Firm proceeded to arbitration on behalf of Lisa Promise, an employee of the City of Orlando’s Solid Waste Division who had been given a 3-day suspension. The Bonderud Law Firm vigorously defended our client, cross-examined co-workers, supervisors, and managers, and argued that the suspension was issued in violation of the relevant Collective Bargaining Agreement. On November 29, 2021, the arbitrator issued a written opinion, siding with our client, converting the suspension to a written reprimand, and ordering the City of Orlando to compensate our client with back-pay.
